recycled neckties

I inherited a box of neckties and I have turned some of them into fun chunky bangles. They are lightweight, chunky fat, and fashion fabulous.

More chunky bangles, this time I used vintage fabrics and sari silk. Yes...they too are chunky fat, flexible, and fashion fabulous.

They are featured on Moxie Gallery

  1. I love these bangles! My grandparents used to own a men's clothing store, so my family has loooooot of ties hanging around. I have some awesome vintage pieces that I refuse to part with because I may be able to use them some day. Thanks for reminding me they're still on the shelf!!

    Take care

  2. ooo ... very very very cool!! and very ethnic-ey too! love the colors!

  3. Oh I would so love to know how you made these gorgeous little bangles. I would love to make a couple for my great granddaughters. Hugs, Mollye

  4. Wow, love your bangles- so fun and colorful!! Makes me want to dig out the old ties...

  5. Love, love, love this ethnic, boho, anything goes style. And all the bright colors.

  6. Thanks to all who have commented on my terribly neglected website. I appreciate the love very much and have started posting again. Life got in the way.
