xox copper pipe necklace

I have a wonderful mechanic who is great at fixing cars but not so great at tossing stuff into the garbage can, he misses the mark.  That is fine with me because while he works on my car, I pick up debris.  This is my latest find...a soldered and cut copper pipe.  It was grungy, covered in dirt and grime, plus it had been run over and over who knows how many times.  I took it home cleaned it, polished it and discovered some beautiful colors under the grime.   This is the result, a long necklace made from mixed metals with a smashed button xox charm.

Blurry is better than glare...these were very hard to photograph.  Long long necklaces ready for AU Extravaganza.  Have been working day and night on  bohemian type necklaces.  Maybe it is the heat, (115 this week in sunny Arizona) that has me producing some very colorful pieces.   Fun, fun, fun.  Love the colors, the artwork and the length of the necklaces.  A great variety to pick from.

Hope you stop by and say hello....maybe you will see something that you can't live without.

moving on

It's been a long time since I have posted, though I have not stopped creating.  It is my form of meditation, a form of escape from personal issues, the loss of my brother, the passing of a dear friend, and much more.  I believe there is a reason for everything, and that God never closes a door without opening a window...so I keep moving on.   Here are some things I will be doing.

I will be teaching at Art Unraveled on the first day of classes, July 31, 2013.  You can see samples of the class here and here.   Also, If you are in the area...you may see my art and jewelry at The Purple Lizard Boutique, located at the Southeast corner of 15th Avenue and Thomas Rd.    If you are headed to Rocky Point Mexico, drop by The Art Stop Gallery in the plaza of Ajo, AZ. where you can see more of my artwork.

Thank you for the love and patience.
