Growing up I spent hours watching my grandmother do beautiful stitch work, she was a great seamstress. I also watched my mother do amazing crochet work as well as almost anything creative. When my favorite jeans developed rips, and holes, I decided to save them. A bit of stitching, pieces of vintage crochet and some boro stitching, made my jeans better than new.

Very creative work with patching the jeans! Lovely idea!
ReplyDeleteI need to patch some of my husband's jeans but I'm just doing a free motion patch with cloth underneath the hole. But for women, this is a great idea!
Cheers!
Thanks...this was so fun to do, I think I want to try to over dye the next pair of patched jeans.
